The Global Case Competition (GCC) is considered one of the biggest case competitions in Norway, organized by BI Norwegian Business School. It is open to active university students; all undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. students are welcome. The competition has over 80 teams participating from all over the world. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak situation and the encouragement of social distancing, the competition can be conducted through a virtual system, Zoom, connecting with the rest of the world. The competition consisted of 2 rounds: 1. The first round includes an opening event, a 24h case solution period, a team presentation session, and a winner announcement session. 2. The second round included an opening session, a 12-day period for further development and preparations of the solutions, a team presentation session, and a winner announcement session. 

Action Tracks for the UN Food Systems Summit, in cooperation with EAT, BI Norwegian Business School, and Kearney, aim to change with help from students capable of presenting an innovative idea to help create a game-changing solution. Participants will contribute to the development of a large-scale, innovative solution that paves the way for a healthier and more sustainable food system. Unhealthy diets have become a primary source of poor health around the world, with glaring disparities between rich and poor. Our diets have also become the leading contributor to global environmental degradation. Redesigning the food is a unique and powerful opportunity to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and to involve people from around the globe in solving these greatest challenges. We were honored to be a part of brainstorming, analyzing, and aware of this challenge which is related to everyone in the world.

We had the opportunity to learn about case solution techniques and listen to honorable speakers from the United Nations, EAT, Kearney, Bi Norwegian Business School, and Tufts University.

Now, it?s the game time where we have to work for 24 hours straight to ensure that we will be able to deliver the most impactful recommendations regarding the global hunger problem. As we recognized numerous problems that caused starvation, we have to go back and analyze the root cause and fix at the right spot, in this case we focus on self-surviving tactics which will finally lead to trading and generate circulating economy in the small community which we see that the impact can turn out to be giving them a possibilities to step up the social ladder and step out from starvation issue.

Although we did not proceed to the final round, we are truly grateful that we are able to contribute as a part to provide recommendations that can possibly help global hunger issue and more importantly competing against the top universities around the world in this Global Case Competition. I would like to also thank Aj. Supawat and Dr. Worapong (our advisors), BBA staff for assist us in competing in this competition and finally to the team that made this competition such a meaningful experience.
