As one of the four Thai finalist teams from The Challenger, team Veritas, represented by BBA Thammasat students Pumthad Kaewmongkolsri (BBA#22), Charudej Lertsumitkul (BBA#23), Atis Srisa-an (BBA#23), and Pichetpat Chandrema (BBA#22), advanced to compete in Thammasat Undergraduate Business Challenge (TUBC) from 4 - 8 October 2016. TUBC is Thailand?s longest running international undergraduate business case competition and this year marked the event?s 19th year with 20 teams from universities all around the world invited to compete.
We went into the competition hoping to do our very best. After a day of social excursion activities around Bangkok, such as visiting the Jim Thompson House and doing Muay Thai, the case cracking session started. This year?s case company is PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC), the flagship petrochemicals arm of PTT Group, Thailand?s largest company by revenue and the country?s only company part of Fortune Global 500. We were placed in a division with the University of Belgrade, Maastricht University, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
