First Runner-up - Deloitte SEA Tax Challenge 2016
Deloitte SEA Tax Challenge 2016 was held during 24th ? 26th February 2016 at Deloitte Malaysia office in Kuala Lumpur. Among various Southeast Asian countries, each winning team from country?s tax challenge national rounds is invited to join which includes winners from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. The team representing Thailand and Thammasat University includes Mr. Nophakit (BBA#21), Miss Sinich (BBA#21), Mr. Kanin (BBA#21) and Miss Oranas (BBA#21).
In Thailand?s national round, our team, the Fifth Avenue, was able to impress the judges through our fabulous video concept, and made it to the final round. During the final round, we were assigned to come up with recommendations on the various tax avoidance rules, personal tax income as well as the implementation plan. Although we had only three hours, with our high individual determination together with the strong bond of teamwork spirit, we managed to organize and convey our presentation in an incredibly smooth and timely manner, and were awarded the Champion of Thailand?s national round. As a result, we were selected to represent Thailand on the international stage in Malaysia.
