BBA Short Lecture Series #37 Information Session on Student Exchange Program

BBA's exchange program is one of the activities that catch most students? attention. Each year, there are more than a half of students in a batch going on an exchange program to many other partner universities around the world. On the 11th of September this year, BBA has arranged an information session for all those interested students to inform them about the upcoming study aboard opportunity, including all of the procedures that must be completed before the students go on an exchange program such as the process of application and qualification of an applicant.

The session was separated into three chapters according to the program. The first chapter was about the exchange program at Thammasat Business School level, which has over 70 MOUs with top business school from all around the world. The second chapter was about the exchange program at the University level which includes the ISEP program and and the program cooperated with the University of California. The last chapter of this session was devoted to a summer session at University of California at Berkeley, which suits the students, whom do not want to go for a semester or a year aboard.

We discussed benefits and drawbacks for both educational and personal of this unique exchange experience. I eventually found that there are more advantages than disadvantages. In my personal aspect, while on the exchange, I think students will benefit from a multitude of unique life experiences at other beauteous cultures, which we may not have in our native country. Moreover, studying abroad can also help students to be more open-minded and widen their perspective.  Students will get to learn how to adjust to the community, which sometimes are totally different from where we are from; the adjustment skill is absolutely crucial in our future career.

Lastly, I would like to say thank you to Dr. Arunee Tanvisuth, the Director of Center for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nitinant Wisaweisuan, Vice Rector of International Affairs, Dr.Thanet Makjamroen, Liason Officer EAP Thailand Study Center University of California, for this knowledgeable session and to BBA program for arranging such event.
