BBA#22 Orientation Activities ? Mindset Workshop

The BBA International Program is organizing BBA Orientation Activities ? Mindset Workshop at Cape Dara Hotel, Pattaya, Chonburi during May 28 ? 31, 2013.  The workshops include (a) Building Friendship and Teamwork activity, (b) Explorer Mindset Workshop, (c) Systematic Thinking Mindset Workshop, (d) Consultant Mindset Workshop, and (e) Business Professional Mindset Workshop.  The details are as follows:   

 

a.     Building Friendship and Teamwork Activity:

The Building Friendship and Teamwork is arranged for the students.  In the course of study, BBA students need to work together to succeed in a range of projects and assignments.  Thus, Building Friendship and Teamwork activity includes a number of team building challenges to get BBA students working together right from the start, for academic success and friendships that last a lifetime.

 

b.    Explorer Mindset Workshop:

To be a successful entrepreneur or business person, one needs to have an open mind.  Successful business person sees opportunities in the middle of difficulties.  The explorer mindset is needed for someone to see and seize those opportunities.

 

c.     Systematic Thinking  Mindset Workshop :

To solve business problems, one needs to think and process information systematically.  This workshop will provide the systematic techniques that the students can utilize to tackle the problems.  Moreover, the techniques can be fruitful in your future study. 

 

d.    Consultant Mindset Workshop:

The purpose of the Consultant Mindset Workshop is to introduce new BBA students to basic business concepts.  BBA Thammasat Case Team will arrange this activity to help familiarizing the students with several functions of the typical business operations.  A case-based learning is designed to bridge the business concepts with real-life situations.  Students will learn through hands-on experience on how to utilize information and make management decision in business. 

 

e.     Business Professional Mindset Workshop

To achieve a goal in business life, ones need to have their own career blueprint.   This workshop will guide you through a proper planning process for a successful business career.  

 

Please be informed that the student needs to ask for permission from parents to join this event.  The acknowledgement and permission letter is in an attachment.  Please fill in the information required and ask your parents to sign the aforementioned letter.  Please send the signed letter to the Program via email at bbathammasat@tbs.tu.ac.th or fax at 02-225-2107 ext. 16 by May 10, 2013 at 04:00 p.m.   

Furthermore, The BBA International Program would like to inform you regarding the event schedule and things to bring to the event as follows:

*         The program will provide transportation for all students from Thammasat University to Chonburi and back. 

*         The buses will depart from the Main Auditorium, Thammasat University (ThaPrachan Campus) on May 28, 2013 at 08:00 a.m. 

*         All students must commute with the buses provided by the Program. 

*         Parents are not allowed to send or pick up the students to or from Chonburi. 

*         The buses will leave Chonburi on May 31, 2013 at 03:00 p.m. and will arrive at Thammasat University (ThaPrachan Campus) at 05:30 p.m. 

*         Please wear casual, comfortable clothes and sport shoes and bring your swimming suit on May 28, 2013 for Building Friendship and Teamwork Activity. 

*         Please bring BA II Plus calculator for Consultant Mindset Workshop on May 30 ? 31, 2013. 

*         Please wear BBA T-shirt on May 31, 2013 for group photo session.

*         No alcoholic drinks or gambling allowed. 

 

Note that the orientation fee of ?20,000 paid (as part of ?70,000 fee collected) covers the costs of all orientation activities with no extra charge.  Students who cannot join the activity(ies) must file the petition request to the BBA Office via email at bbathammasat@tbs.tu.ac.th by May 10, 2013 at 04:00 p.m.   The supporting documents are needed.  Students with less than 70% attendance are required to participate in the orientation activities next year and are required to pay the orientation fee of ?20,000 once again.  However, the students with a plausible cause of absence will get a waiver for the additional fee.
