After winning the national round, we get an opportunity to participate in the regional round held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Even though we did not win the competition, the experience we received was very valuable. Despite using the same stock (IVL) to present to the judges, there were so many things to be done. We had to adjust the content to fit with the more globalized judges and practiced a lot of Q&A.

Our subject company is very hard to understand so we spent a lot of time explaining the nature of the business and did not have sufficient time to show deep analysis on how cheap or expensive the stock is. It is also harder to defend our analysis. However we are glad that we were assigned to analyze IVL because we gained deep understanding in such a difficult industry and we did learn a lot through those experiences.
