Recently, the Operations Management students visited TINT (Thai Institute of Nuclear Technology) to learn about the processes involved with the facility. The opening presentation settled several myths about radiation. For one, student learned that TINT has been engineered for low energy radiation uses such as medical treatment and waste management. A run through the facility, however, showed the importance of safety in regards to nuclear energy. The highlight of the trip was a psi-fi worthy nuclear reactor, which glowed at the bottom of 20 meter tank of water.
