On Monday 18th October, 2010 our IM203 Production & Operation Management class had the opportunity to visit PASAYA?s factory in Ratchaburi province. We had the honor from one of the three co-founders of PASAYA, to take us around the factory. ?PASAYA? had placed high priority on their business towards the idea of ?Creative Economy? or ?Innovative Business? which could be express in several ways. The most visible demonstration of this concept was the building designs. For instance, ?Kampang? building would demonstrate the freedom of its employees and the differentiation in comparison to other factories. The building was initially built with no walls. However, due to several uncontrollable environmental issues, wall was created afterward in order to protect products from dust and wind. ?Zig Zag?, the building which incorporated the idea of factory together with the environment, the main use of this building was for sewing purpose as it had no windows at the exterior of the building in order for the employees to focus solely on their works. Nevertheless, the building composed of environmental part in the middle of the building in order to reduce employee?s stress.
