New Dean Appointed at Thammasat Business School
Thammasat University has appointed Associate Professor Dr. Kulpatra Sirodom as the new dean of Thammasat Business School since April 1, 2010. Dean Kulpatra has outstanding credentials both in academia and in the business as well as the international education. She has held an associate professorship of finance specializing in capital markets and derivatives.
Reflecting her strong engagement to leadership and professionalism, she was one of the founders of and served as the director of BBA (International Program) for 18 years. The Program has grown significantly and become by far one of the most prestigious business undergraduates? international programs in Thailand.
Dean Kulpatra also holds the positions of Head of Finance Department and Chairman of the International MBA Curriculum, Thammasat Business School, Independent Director and Member of the Audit Committee, Siam Commercial Bank, and Risk Evaluation Committee, Ministry of Finance, just to name a few.
Previously a visiting professor in finance at Copenhagen Business School, Dean Kulpatra was a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina?s Kenan-Flager Business School. And she was elected as a committee member of the branding taskforce of Partnership in International Management (PIM), a consortium of leading business schools around the world.
Dean Kulpatra obtained a bachelor?s degree in finance, first class honors (summa cum laude), from Thammasat Business School, an MBA degree in finance from West Virginia University and a PhD degree in finance from University of Pittsburgh.
