IM 432 Field Trip at Banyan Tree Hotel

By Oratip T., BBA#14

Late Tuesday morning in the middle of the busiest city, we arrived at Banyan Tree hotel.  We were welcomed by their warmth greeting and friendly atmosphere.  Our hotel visit was divided into two sessions; one was in the meeting room where we listened to the guest speakers who worked in each division of the hotel describing their experiences.  Banyan Tree has embraced many forms of social responsibilities.  Their social projects include building a school in the rural area and hiking to plant a tree in the forest.  At lunch, not yet started, we learn table manner in appropriating ways of eating.

The second session comprised of a walking tour to explore the hotel.  The hotel has many different rooms, of which there are Deluxe Suites, Premier Suites, Banyan Tree Club Suite, Spa Suite and Presidential Suites.  Each of the 216 rooms has elegantly designed guest suites featuring a separate sleeping and working area conducive to personal comfort and business related activities.  Facilities at the hotel include contemporarily designed restaurants with various types of cuisine such as Chinese, Japanese and Thai.  The most popular restaurant is named Vertigo, and is situated on the roof top of the hotel.  It offers a panoramic and breathtaking view of the city.  We would like to thank Ajarn Supatcharajit Jitpraphai and BBA office for the wonderful opportunities to visit the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok.  As opposed to Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz knocking her red shoes and saying, ?There is no place like home?, this hotel is well suited to being a home for everyone.
